his is the story how we became the band skyride.
Skyride started about three years ago. The members of the band were Christian Eriksson, Richard Larsson,Ken Kängström, Pierre Stam and Tobias Tangfelt. The band started to play a lot of covers. But it did not take many rehearsals until Skyride wrote their own material. After a couple of months Skyride recorded their first promo, which consisted of three songs. The promo disc became very popular. Both fans and Reviewers liked it. Soon Skyride would get their first gig. The Gig took place in Falun at Pub Engelbrekt as support to Sabaton. The whole place was full of people when Skyride played, and the gig became a real success.
Six months later, Skyride started to record their first album that would contain 8 tracks. But the recording was delayed because Ken Kängström and Pierre Stam left the band. It did not take a long time until two new members were found. The new members became Christian Johansson and Björn Lundqvist. The recording could then be completed. The response of the disc was more than good. The album recived brilliant reviews. And the disc sold more than good.
The past year Skyride has made a series of gigs across Sweden. Al from large festival gigs to smaller club gigs. Skyride has also played support to other acts such as Sabaton and Sonata Arctica. At all places Skyride played, both organizers and fans were more than satisfied. In the near future Skyride are going to start recording a new album that will be a guaranteed success.
